About FD Building & Construction Auckland

We are a building construction and joinery company whose founder, Wayne Barden, has been in the building construction business for 46 years.

We undertake:

• New House Construction
• Large and Small Renovations
• Old Villa Alterations and Restoration, a speciality
• Light Commercial Contracts

We also have a medium sized joinery shop for work such as boardroom tables, push up windows for villas, custom design and build office furniture and general cabinetry.

FD Building & Construction founder, Wayne Barden became a registered building practitioner 3 years ago under the new licensing system.

Wayne has trained over a dozen apprentices - the majority of whom are still involved in the building industry and have gone on to be self employed. Wayne has a wealth of knowledge which he brings together from all facets of the building industry and shares freely with his crew of 8 to 15 guys.

Marcel Barden has been building for 10 years and has also studied towards a BCom. Marcel looks after the day-to-day running of the business, contract management, and client relations.

Tim Fahey is an onsite foreman who ensures the smooth running and overall management of larger projects.

FD Building & Construction are in the process of becoming one of Auckland's first certified CarbonZero building companies. This reflects the sustainable approach we take in our building practices and our commitment to finding and creating environmentally aware solutions for our clients.
